The Single Utamaro  Written and directed by Susan Gilbert

Featuring  - Harry Venet as Benedict, Richard Houghton-Evans as Chas and Stephanie Lodge as Martha.

The Single Utamaro was joint first prize winner at the Snowgoose Writing Festival 2008 and was premiered at Bradford Playhouse.

Benedict has a collection of Japanese prints, they are more exotic than his life has been. He is old, blind and alone in his hour of need. Once, his was a love story, but what is it now? A gay tale, a ghostly tragedy, a ghastly murder story? Perhaps it does all come back to love, in the end.

Susan Gilbert is a playwright, photographer and art-history writer.
The Single Utamaro is sponsored by ArchiFACT Ltd.  http://www.ArchiFACT.co.uk.

Richard Houghton-Evans as the ghost of Chas Maclean

CLICK   Written and directed by Jan Perry

Featuring  Jan Thomas,  Ellen Shorrock and Andy Price

CLICK won the Windsor Marriott Award for New Drama Writing 2010, judged by actor Jenny Seagrove and John Adams, co-founder of Paines Plough.  At the Nidderdale Drama Festival & North Central Division of the All England Theatre Festival 2011 CLICK won Best Play, the Audience Prize & the Artistic Originality Award. Jan Perry  won Best Producer and Jan Thomas won Best Actress.

CLICK explores the life of Nell, an elderly woman, who recalls the parental battles that characterised her childhood and upbringing. As her recollections of times past unfold the play swings between past and present, from childhood to old age, the memories and secrets clicking seamlessly into place, crowding in on Nell relentlessly until the grip of the past overwhelms and engulfs her.

CLICK is at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 5th – 20th August 2011.
